This morning activists confronted Eskom's reliance on dirty coal by blocking one of the entrances to the power utility's headquarters with five tonnes of coal.
Greenpeace Africa is demanding that Eskom stops the construction of the Kusile coal-fired power station. Eskom should end its addiction to coal and shift massive investments to large-scale renewable energy projects.
