500 Hong Kong Citizens Gather to Support Victims in Japan

Hong Kong citizens, legislators and social groups joined Greenpeace’s Light Vigil in Central Statue Square to offer condolences and support for the victims of the massive earthquake and nuclear disaster in Japan. Participants shared their feelings and questions to the danger of nuclear, and urged the HKSAR government to acknowledge the inherent risks of nuclear energy and halt the nuclear expansion proposal immediately.

The light vigil started with a 1 minute silent tribute for the victims in Japan. People expressed their grief about the destructive disaster. They also posted their dissatisfaction and questions to the HKSAR government for her ignorance to the vulnerability of nuclear energy.
