The first ever EU citizens' initiative signed by Avaaz and Greenpeace supporters is delivered to Commissioner of Health and Consumer Policy John Dalli at the EU Commission in Brussels. The signatures were also printed on the world's largest piece of 3D art made by one man and printed on the largest eco-friendly biodegradable fabric with non-toxic inks.

Representatives of Avaaz and Greenpeace (center and right) and EU Commissioner for Health and Consumer Policy John Dalli (left) talk to the media during an action. The initiative calls on the Commission to ban genetically modified (GM) crops until a new independent, ethical, scientific body is established to assess their impact.
