National action plans fail to do enough to increase safety of European reactors

Europe's nuclear regulators have failed to act on vital lessons from the Fukushima catastrophe and are exposing Europeans to the risk of a nuclear accident, according to an analysis commissioned by Greenpeace.

In spite of so-called nuclear stress tests carried out after the Fukushima disaster, the risk of a similar accident happening at a European nuclear power plant remains high, the report concluded based on a review of national action plans.
