Letter to EU health commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis from Alliance for Cancer Prevention, Friends of the Earth Europe, Greenpeace, Health and Environment Alliance, Pesticide Action Network.
The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the World Health Organisation’s cancer agency, recently classified the pesticide glyphosate as "probably carcinogenic to humans" (Class 2A).
Following this announcement, a cohalition of NGOs, including Greenpeace, wrote to EU health commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis, calling for an emergency EU ban on glyphosate.
