As the European Parliament prepares for a crucial vote on the EU-Canada trade and investment protection deal (CETA), the group of socialists and democrats MEPs (S&D) has released a list of “ten progressive principles for a new era of trade agreements”.

These principles call for a fairer international trade system, with agreements that put public protection and transparency ahead of corporate power.
