On 2nd September 2013, the revenue village of Dharnai gave its approval to Greenpeace India to setup an innovative Rural Electrification Micro Grid Project. Dharnai has not seen electricity in over 30 years and this micro grid project aims to make the village self sufficient for energy needs. This project is being setup in association with CEEDS and BASIX.
