Good for the oceans, good for you.

CHENNAI, India — In our line of work, we find livelihood and ecology inextricably linked, quite frequently at cross-purposes with each other. But sometimes, the two issues intersect more directly, with the loss of ecological treasures resulting in a loss of livelihood, and conversely, conservation resulting in more secure livelihoods too! Our report on 'India's Coastal and Marine Environment' presents a compelling argument for marine reserves along India's coast, and we're certain the folks in India's coastal communities will lend their voices to our demands.
