16 March 2010 - Jiangsu Province, China. Xu Changlian and his wife Wang Jinnan both have cancer. Wangs cancer has worsened; she has given up treatment and is no longer able to speak. The couple take care of each other at home.
In the last few years the Yangtze River has been significantly polluted, and the fishermen noticed that the water has a strange flavour. The fishermen have gone to the local government and nearby industrial parks many times to report the pollution and request the installation of tap water for the village, yet years have passed with no action being taken.
