Twenty Greenpeace activists stop the spread of genetically engineered maize pollen on an experimental field near Arnhem by putting plastic bags over the male flowers of the plants. They also mark the field with warning ribbon and place a banner with the text ‘sow safe or don’t sow at all.’ The action is a protest against testing of genetically engineered maize and other GE crops in open fields.
