Toxics Action at Dell HQ, Texas

The consumer electronics industry is making progress on eliminating the use of toxic chemicals from their products. But, Dell was penalized in the latest Greenpeace Guide to Greener Electronics for backtracking on its commitments to eliminate toxic PVC plastic and brominated flame retardants (BFRs) from its products, despite the fact that many of its competitors have already done so.
 

Greenpeace activists unfurl a banner today at Dell Computer's world headquarters. The message is for the computer company founder and CEO and reads: "Michael, What the Dell? Design out Toxics!"
