Coal Power Plant Protests in Indonesia

Farmers and fishermen from Batang, come together with Greenpeace South East Asia and Public Defender of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI) to show their opposition to the proposed coal power plant in Ujung Negoro-Roban, Batang, Central Java, Indonesia. To highlight the threats to livelihood, food sovereignty, human rights and to the environment once the power plant is built.

Greenpeace activists together with farmers and fishermen from Batang and Public Defender of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI) unfurl a banner in the middle of Ponowareng village rice fields to show their opposition to the proposed coal-fired power plant in Batang, Central Java, Indonesia.
