Traditional Thai fishing vessels assembling in a 60 km long line, 3 nautical miles (around 5.5 km) from shore at the border of the protected coastal fisheries zone. This zone is exclusive to small-scale fishermen. Local fishermen along with Greenpeace activists dropped marker buoys at the line, to help prevent destructive fishing vessels from entering and destroying near-shore coastal marine ecosystems.
