Photo | 1 August, 2014

21st July 2014. A Greenpeace Russia staff member presents Arctic Sunrise crew with a samovar. Prior to the Greenpeace ship's departure from Murmansk, Greenpeace Russia staff gifted a samovar (traditional Russian tea-pot) to the icebreaker and her crew. A samovar is symbolic in Russia of cozy evenings in a friend’s company, this one is also engraved with: ‘MY Arctic Sunrise – From Russia With Love – September 2013-June 2014’. The samovar will travel to Amsterdam and will stay on board, as an ongoing symbol of support and care from the Russian Arctic defenders.
