Greenpeace activists from Italy, Germany, France and Austria unfurl a large banner reading: People Want Renewables And Energy Efficiency as European Union ministers enter a meeting in Milan, Italy, to prepare for a crucial summit of EU political leaders on the 23-24 October to decide Europes energy future.Greenpeace is calling on Europes politicians to support binding and ambitious targets for the EU: 45 per cent share of renewables, 40 per cent energy savings and a 55 per cent cut in domestic carbon emissions by 2030.
