Fashion Revolution Day

On the anniversary of the Rana Plaza disaster, one of the worst industrial accidents in recent history, a global collective of celebrities, designers, fashionistas, academics and NGOs are today joining forces to call for radical change to the way our clothes are made.

The first ever Fashion Revolution Day aims to raise awareness about the true cost of our clothes and demonstrate that fashion can and should be a force for good. From shocking working conditions to the pollution of our global waterways with hazardous chemicals, the current fashion system is broken and it needs fixing.

Greenpeace’s global Detox campaign has shown just what people-power can do. Thanks to your perserverance and dedication, 20 major fashion companies have committed to eliminating the use of toxic chemicals in their clothes by 2020.

We have shown that if we speak out together, the fashion industry will listen.

Today, join us and the hundreds of thousands of people around the world in taking action to ensure our clothes tell a story we can all be proud of.

Help us turn fashion #InsideOut

  1. For one day join Fashion Revolution Day by wearing your clothes inside-out

  2. Take a selfie in your new outfit and share it with the world on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #InsideOut and mentioning @Fash_Rev

  3. Spread the word by tagging three of your friends and ask them to do the same
