Nike vs. Adidas Detox Challenge

As the Detox campaign continues to gather momentum, we want to turn up the heat on the world's biggest sport brands.

Nike and Adidas fans, Greenpeace supporters and sports lovers all over the world have watched and shared the video - now they're petitioning the CEOs to put words into action.

Across the globe, Greenpeace activists – with the invaluable support of the XM3N mannequins – have been spreading the word and issuing the challenge to Nike and Adidas: Detox our water. From Argentina to the Netherlands and Spain, we’ve made clear that second place simply isn't good enough!

With 70 per cent of China's freshwater sources being polluted by billions of tonnes of toxic chemicals every year, industry leaders like Nike and Adidas have the power to change the game. By working with their suppliers to remove hazardous, hormone-disrupting chemicals from their supply chains and products, they can show some real champion pedigree and prove themselves, once again, to be the industry front runners.

Help provide the pressure to perform by adding your name to our petition today and see who comes out on top. With your help we can convince these brands to detox our sportswear, detox our water and detox our future.

To drive the point home, this Saturday volunteers from the around the world will be attempting to set a World Record in 14 countries and over 30 cities. So, keep your eye out on Twitter for the #Detox tag and follow the action from 11am CET onwards...

Game on!
