A global review of agricultural development with 400 participating scientists concludes that industrial agriculture cannot continue, and GE is not a priority.
Executive summary: The first comprehensive global assessment of agricultural development ever conducted (International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology for Development or IAASTD) recently concluded that business-as-usual is not an option for the future of agriculture. The 400 scientists who participated in the review concluded that GE (genetically-engineered) crops are not a priority for feeding the world in 2050.
