Labour MP Megan Woods is promising to return Canterbury’s regional council, ECan, to a democratically elected council.

Christchurch, 14 September: Pro-democracy water campaigners have taken over the regional council offices in Christchurch today.

After eight hours occupying the Central Plains Waters’ irrigation dam nine people have been arrested by police and removed. All have been charged with trespass.
