Seismic blasting harms whales and dolphins

The world's biggest seismic blasting vessel has just entered New Zealand waters. It's here to do seismic exploration for oil and gas between Napier and Kaikoura on behalf of Statoil and Chevron. It must be stopped. The world faces a climate crisis. Science tells us that for humanity to have any chance of a liveable future, we must not burn even the known reserves of oil in the ground. To be searching for oil that the world can't afford to burn is reckless and immoral. The climate effects would be dangerous, and deep sea oil drilling itself is dangerous.
