A bizarre nudibranch or sea slug drifts in midwater away from its hydroid food source, off Kas, southern Turkey, July 2006. Despite heavy fishing pressure and a desperate need for well-policed marine reserves, there are still tiny gems like this to be found for those who look. Greenpeace is campaigning for a global network of marine reserves covering 40% of our oceans.
