Manual Bookkeeper

The Manual Bookkeeper will provide support to Greenpeace Philippines' Finance Team by preparing manual books of accounts and financial ledgers. The position is also expected to provide related support including accomplishing and filing of official receipts for fundraising income and related tasks.

This is a full-time position based in Manila, Philippines.

Key Duties

  1. Prepare manual books of accounts  including Cash disbursement, cash receipts, Journal books and General ledger
  2. Prepare subsidiary ledgers for official receipts for fundraising income and individual donors
  3. Prepare the official receipts for fundraising income such as individual donors and other income
  4. Manage the asset inventory record and ensuring that all equipment, materials and supplies are received properly, inventoried and tagged
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance and Office Manager


Educational Background & Fundamental Qualifications

Level of Education: 

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration or other related fields 

Work Experience: 

Minimum of 2 years' working experience in Finance & Admin tasks such as asset inventory (equipment and tagging)

  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles 
  • Knowledge and/or experience in bookkeeping
  • Knowledge and/or experience in preparation of books of accounts and ledgers
  • Knowledge and/or experience in doing basic admin tasks
  • Attentive to details and organized
  • Multi-task taker, reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, spreadsheets and other bookkeeping software
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
  • Committed to Greenpeace Southeast Asia's core values of professionalism, valuing people, global mindset and cutting edge
