Members of the first all-female Philippine Everest team Carina Doyondon ,(L) Noelle Wenceslao (2nd from left), and Mt. Everest vetaran Romy Garduce (lumping) , together with pro-renewable energy groups Renewable Energy Coalition, Greenpeace, and WWF join a 20-kilometer run to rally peacefully in front of the Philippine Senate after conducting their Renewable Energy Run from MRT North Avenue Station to the Senate building, to spur the immediate passage of the Renewable Energy (RE) Bill in the Senate. The groups also conducted the handover of more than 350,000 petitions from around the country in support of the RE Bill, and the presentation of a symbolic key and giant ballot box with the words “Boto ng Bayan para sa RE Bill”.
