'Climate walkers' paused for a prayer at the Kilometer One marker during the kick off the Climate Walk that starts at Kilometer Zero at the Rizal Park in Manila on October 2, 2014. Climate Walk is a 40-day, 875 KM journey from Kilometer 0 in Rizal Park, Manila to the ground zero of Yolanda (Haiyan) in Tacloban City on the 8th of November, to commemorate the first anniversary of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), a historic landfall in the Philippines. The organizers aims to raise awareness on climate change and mobilize people in demanding world leaders to take climate action and hold industry polluters and their respective governments accountable for their contribution to the climate crisis.
