Research at the destroyed marine sanctuary Of Apo Island

A researcher from Silliman University studies the the reef of the MPA (marine protected area) in Apo Island devastated by Typhoon Pablo in December 2012. Divers from Silliman University, Coastal Conservation and Education foundation, and Greenpeace surveyed the massive coral damage in Apo Island due to unprecedented extreme weather events. The documentation of the reef check in Apo island is part of the activities around the visit of the Greenpeace ship, Esperanza which arrived in the Philippines.
