Oil spill in Cavite

Barangay officials of Sapa 2 in Rosario, Cavite gather diesel oil collected by residents at the sea in exchange for rice and canned sardines on August 10 from the diesel oil leak that affected three towns and several barangays of Cavite province on August 8, 2013. Greenpeace laments the serious ecological and health hazards caused by the diesel oil spill in Rosario, Cavite that has already damaged the marine environment and threatens the lives and livelihoods of communities in the affected coastal areas.
