El Niño in Southeast Asia

Greenpeace Southeast Asia documented the impacts of the drought brought by El Niño at the peak of dry season in Thailand and in the Philippines.

Greenpeace calls on national governments of Southeast Asia, in particular Thailand and the Philippines, to address this growing food emergency and set in place policies, programs and funding support for a long term solution to fix the broken food and agriculture system and transition the region to ecological farming, which puts agriculture back in the hands of farmers.
