Nuclear Protest Occupation at Olkiluoto 3 (Finland: 2007)Six activists from Greenpeace scale a 100 meter high crane early in the morning for a protest occupation at the construction site of Olkiluoto 3, Finland's fifth nuclear reactor. The protest is a direct reaction to the quality problems at the construction site, which has lead to over one thousand reported breaches of safety standards. Greenpeace calls on TVO, the company that ordered the reactor, to make all the documents describing the one thousand reported quality problems public, repay the state subsidies it has received for the project and drop any plans on new nuclear projects.
