Our research demonstrates that water scarcity and pollution in Bulgaria are linked to the processes of the coal industry \u2013 from mining and processing the coal to its burning in the thermal power plants.<br \/>\nThe damage of burning coal is too big, diverse and growing for the coal industry to continue to be supported by the Bulgarian government.
