They warn the Trudeau government not to turn the Kinder Morgan pipeline into its political legacy. Earlier this year,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/angusreid.org\/alberta-bc-transmountain-dispute\/\">an Angus Reid poll had revealed that opposition to Kinder Morgan\u2019s Trans Mountain pipeline<\/a>\u00a0was especially strong in Quebec. The letter signatories recall the popular mobilization against Energy East in the province and invoke the promises made by the Trudeau government on climate change, the environment and the rights of Indigenous people.<\/p>\n<p>Among the 40 signatories, which are groups working on environmental issues, water protection, climate change, labour unions, human rights and Indigenous solidarity groups: Alternatives, Association qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise de lutte contre la pollution atmosph\u00e9rique (AQLPA), la Coalition Vigilance Ol\u00e9oducs (CoVO), Conseil r\u00e9gional FTQ Montr\u00e9al m\u00e9tropolitain, Eau Secours, \u00c9quiterre, la Fondation Coule pas chez nous, la Fondation Rivi\u00e8res, Greenpeace Canada, Nature Qu\u00e9bec, Projet de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 climatique Canada, Regroupement vigilance hydrocarbures Qu\u00e9bec (RVHQ), le Syndicat de la fonction publique et parapublique du Qu\u00e9bec (SFPQ),\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/350.org\/\">350.org<\/a>.
