Thank you to all the photographers, amateurs or professionals, that shared their best forest photos as part of the 2018 Greenpeace Photo Competition.<\/strong>\u00a0Once again, the\u00a0contest\u00a0was a huge success \u2014 we received over 850 pictures and many of those submitted were truly fantastic images of forests, animal, and wildlife.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the winner of the Peoples\u2019 Choice Award, Marie-Claude Tremblay. Her astonishing picture of a sunset in the middle of the forest got the largest amount of votes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After 5 years of delaying, provinces and territories have failed to follow through with measures to protect the boreal woodland caribou. Herds have been declining across the country at an alarming rate and may soon become extinct in some areas.
