Authors, journalists, poets and playwrights know that every time the right words are put to paper, or typed to a screen, our planet gets a little better. Because, without the right to express ourselves freely, we cannot make positive change.<\/p>\n

More than 240 authors from around the world including Man Booker Prize winners Margaret Atwood (<\/span>The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em>) and\u00a0<\/span>Yann Martel (<\/span>Life of Pi<\/em>)<\/span>, writer and comedian Stephen Fry<\/span>\u00a0(More Fool Me<\/em>)\u00a0thought leaders like Naomi Klein (The Shock Doctrine<\/em>) signed a pledge with Greenpeace to support free speech and stand up for forests.<\/p>\n
