We\u2019ve lost count of the times we\u2019ve been the David to governments\u2019 and big corporations\u2019 Goliath. And over the years, that campaign approach has worked well, really well.<\/p>\n

We successfully fought against whaling<\/a>, the dumping of nuclear waste<\/a>, and drilling for oil in the Artic<\/a> to name just a few.<\/p>\n

But now, with 20 years in Asia <\/a>under our belt, it\u2019s time for a new, fresh and bold campaign approach. And it\u2019s one where YOU play the leading role.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a call to action.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s U vs U<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a call to go into battle with your own mind. One part of you wants to consume, the other part of you wants to protect the environment. This is a call to make us all stronger to make our choices more wisely.<\/p>\n

To resist urges to buy new \u2013 yet unneeded \u2013 clothes; to drive instead of taking the metro; to eat meat every day; to ramp up the air con. By doing what you believe in, you will be rewarded with the real feeling of the good life because feeling good from giving is infinitely better than feeling good by taking.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve all done it. I know I\u2019ve done it \u2014 used throwaway plastic, bought something I don\u2019t need because my eye was caught by a bargain. We\u2019ve all given in to the urge. And it\u2019s OK, it\u2019s all about doing our best.<\/p>\n

But when we go to battle with ourselves and win, that feeling is better than any transitory joy from consumption.<\/p>\n
