They\u2019ve spent decades telling us to \u201cturn off the lights.\u201d Meanwhile, they kept drilling. The Big Oil company BP popularized the idea of your personal carbon footprint<\/a>. We\u2019re turning it into a giant shape-shifting monster named Betty.<\/p>\n\n

At a time when Big Oil and gas companies are doing everything they can to silence climate voices<\/a> and profit off disaster, we think it\u2019s time to flip the script to laugh at their reckless, conscience-free behavior, let go of personal guilt, and feel empowered to take action.<\/p>\n\n

That\u2019s why Greenpeace East Asia<\/strong> has teamed up with the brilliant animation studio Wit & Wisdom<\/strong><\/a> to launch a bold new project. It\u2019s an animated TV comedy series about climate change, corporate greed, and climate grief, told in a way that\u2019s never been done before. We aim to create an animated comedy TV series about climate change and climate grief and put it on streaming services!<\/p>\n\n

A thrilling new animated series using comedy and satire to expose the greed and deception threatening our world.<\/sub><\/em><\/p>\n\n

The story follows 15-year-old Bella and her not-so-cuddly \u201ccarbon footprint\u201d Betty as they travel through time, exposing the truth about climate change and confronting corporations that try to hide it.<\/p>\n\n

Last year, we dropped a 1-minute trailer during World Animation Day<\/strong>\u2014giving a taste of what this world might look like. It\u2019s bouncy, wild, and a little outrageous\u2014think Rick & Morty<\/em> meets The Simpsons<\/em>, but with a climate twist.<\/p>\n\n

But that was just the beginning.<\/p>\n\n

Behind that teaser is a whole My Pet Footprint<\/em> universe waiting to be explored. A world that unpacks how the fossil fuel industry literally externalized guilt and turned it into our personal \u201ccarbon footprints\u201d all while profiting off of climate disasters that is impacting everybody\u2019s livelihoods and our future.<\/p>\n\n

Now, we\u2019re ready to bring it to life. But we can\u2019t do it without your help.<\/p>\n\n
