It argued that such research falls under \u201cinformation on emissions into the environment\u201d, as defined under the Aarhus Convention and the EU law implementing this Convention.<br \/>\n<\/h4>\n<div>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"events-box small-box left\">\n<div class=\"frame reset-padding\">\n        <a class=\"open-img EnlargeImage\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/static\/planet4-eu-unit-stateless\/2018\/08\/309eba8c-309eba8c-glyphosate-apples.jpg\" title=\"\"><br \/>\n            <img decoding=\"async\" id=\"ctl00_cphContentArea_Property3_ctl00_ctl02_Image1\" class=\"Thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/static\/planet4-eu-unit-stateless\/2018\/08\/309eba8c-309eba8c-glyphosate-apples.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"border-width:0px;\"><\/p>\n<p>        <\/a>\n    <\/div>\n<div class=\"hidden\">\n        <span class=\"date\"><\/span><br \/>\n        <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Greenpeace EU food policy director Franziska Achterberg<\/strong> said: <em>\u201cThe ruling says that regulators must release all research used to evaluate the dangers of pesticides, and cannot keep it secret to protect industry interests. Based on the ruling, national and EU authorities should release these studies automatically, and not only following freedom of information requests. Transparency in pesticide assessments is vital, as public health and our environment are at risk.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_quote\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Hans Muilerman, Pesticide Action Network Europe chemical officer<\/strong>, said: <em>\u201cSafety tests done by industry on their own products constitute a clear conflict of interest.
