According to a new scientific review, seismic blasting is ‘alarming’ and could seriously injure whales and other marine life in the Arctic." class="wp-image-59261" srcset="https://www.greenpeace.org/static/planet4-finland-stateless/2025/04/e4ce8ee2-gp0stpati.jpg 1200w, https://www.greenpeace.org/static/planet4-finland-stateless/2025/04/e4ce8ee2-gp0stpati-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.greenpeace.org/static/planet4-finland-stateless/2025/04/e4ce8ee2-gp0stpati-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https://www.greenpeace.org/static/planet4-finland-stateless/2025/04/e4ce8ee2-gp0stpati-768x513.jpg 768w, https://www.greenpeace.org/static/planet4-finland-stateless/2025/04/e4ce8ee2-gp0stpati-510x340.jpg 510w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" />

© Christian Åslund / Greenpeace

2005, Grönlanninmeri – Vedenalainen kuva norjalaisesta TGS Nopec -yhtiön aluksesta, joka suorittaa seismisiä räjäytyksiä öljyn ja kaasun löytämiseksi Koillis-Grönlannin edustalla.
