Bike-a-thon at Dilli Haat

Hundred people on 25 stationary bicycles pedalled hard in the Delhi heat to 'Switch-on the Sun'. It was World Environment Day and a first of its kind bike-a-thon to show that the people of Delhi want renewable energy to power their homes.

It was an exemplary example of people power. Three hundred people cheered on the cycylists as they sweat-it out at Dilli Haat to light-up the board that read, 'Switch-on the Sun'. To add to this there were motivating beats from the Delhi Drummers and talented beat-box artists that kept the spirits high throughout.

It wasn't easy to pull this off. There were moments when the Delhi heat got the better of us. Finally we did it. You made it a success by being there, cycling, encouraging others or just by spreading the word about renewable energy.

Thank you!

Hundreds of us lit up a simple sign, imagine what lakhs of us can achieve by getting together. So let's get together to make power from renewable energy like solar power a reality, not just in Delhi, but for the entire country.

Show your support for renewable energy now!
