The problem

Why you?

Particulate Matter is a silent killer. And not even a micro gram of these tiny, but deadly air particles called PM 2.5 and 10, have any business hanging around in our atmosphere. But the Indian reality is about a thousand times worse. There are virtually no places left in India, that can be considered ‘healthy and breathable’. Barring a few cities in South India, the air quality in most Indian cities do not even live up to our relaxed national pollution standards, let alone the WHO norms.

What goes on paper, usually takes an eternity to be enforced. And our governments and the energy companies are banking on us to turn a blind eye to the lack of policy and the lack of implementation. We need YOU to amplify the voices of those who have felt the first-hand effects of air pollution and extreme weather fueled by climate change, and of the communities that have been marginalized and displaced because of fossil fuel projects.

Help reduce waste burning
Watch the video below

Our governments and corporations must know that we are aware of their messy act. As a country, we’ve already seen more than a million deaths as a result of outdoor air pollution and it has even cost our economy.

Send a tweet asking the Ministry of Environment for a robust plan to be implemented urgently.

Waste minimization, segregation and recycling, can reduce burning of waste in streets as well as at landfills.

Become a warrior for the planet. Watch how a few ordinary people are stepping up with a clear message to the authorities.
