The Problem

Air pollution is killing over 12 lakh people in India every year, while sectoral targets for pollutants are still missing. Millions are still without reliable electricity. Our soil & food is contaminated by chemical pesticides & fertilizers. Our rivers are dirtier every year, water scarcity is worsening, and plastic waste fills our oceans. Deforestation and biodiversity loss is happening at an alarming pace, and millions dependent on forests may be displaced, and their forest homes destroyed.

There is Hope!

India has been adding more renewable electricity capacity than fossil fuels for the last few years. The National Clean Air Plan was recently announced, and while it has gaps, they can be filled. Farmers across the country have shown organic, clean, farming practices can produce safe food and restore health of our soils. Activists like you are supporting and demanding clean rivers & oceans, and protecting forests and forest dwelling communities. Even school children across the world, and in India, are striking for the climate!

BUT, the new Government has to take far more urgent action in this direction. And YOU can help make it happen!
ASK FOR URGENT CLIMATE ACTION!
