A dedicated fund must be allocated to support this scheme, aligning Maharashtra with progressive cities like Delhi,Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Telangana &nbsp;and Karnataka that have already implemented fare-free transportation for transgender people. Such an initiative will promote gender inclusivity, accessibility, affordability, reduce traffic congestion, and contribute to a more sustainable public transport system.<\/p>\n\n<p>Greenpeace India also calls for an increase in the number of public buses, along with the introduction of exclusive bus lanes and women-only buses across the state.
