If you\u2019re like most of us, it\u2019ll be full of food packaging. Sadly, it\u2019s almost impossible to avoid plastic when shopping for groceries. You can use it instead of the plastic bags or boxes the store provides. There\u2019s no need to be nervous\u2014avoiding single-use plastics is already more mainstream than you think!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Many businesses will happily allow you to use your own container, but some might not.*&nbsp;For those that do, take a photo of the container showing that it\u2019s been filled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Share the photo all over social media<\/strong>, tag the establishment, tag Greenpeace, and use the hashtags&nbsp;<strong style=\"color:#F98667\">#ReuseRevolution<\/strong> and <strong style=\"color:#F98667\">#BreakFreeFromPlastic<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>*Is the supermarket using fear of COVID-19 transmission as the reason not to use reusables? You can help!&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/static\/planet4-international-stateless\/2020\/06\/26618dd6-health-expert-statement-reusables-safety.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Share this statement<\/a>&nbsp;with them and reassure them that reusables can be used safely by employing basic hygiene.
