heating of 1.5\u00b0C, with far worse climate extremes to come. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">This must not become a declaration of defeat but instead become a call to action, sparking an immediate, far reaching response by political and corporate leaders to curb and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to keep the overshoot as short and low as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-default has-beige-100-background-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"border-radius:10px;padding-top:20px;padding-right:30px;padding-bottom:20px;padding-left:30px\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Greenpeace is calling for at COP31<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>States to reaffirm and accelerate action towards the Global Stocktake energy goals: tripling renewable energy and doubling energy efficiency by 2030 and accelerating a just, orderly and equitable transition away from fossil fuels this critical decade. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Countries to establish an accountability framework to achieve the 2030 forest and biodiversity targets, including enforceable mechanisms for monitoring, transparency, accountability and remediation and common metrics and standards to protect high ecosystem integrity forests against deforestation and forest degradation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scaled-up finance to address the disastrous shortfall in climate finance from developed to disproportionately impacted Global South
