After the WHO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news\/item\/22-09-2021-new-who-global-air-quality-guidelines-aim-to-save-millions-of-lives-from-air-pollution#:~:text=Every%20year%2C%20exposure%20to%20air,respiratory%20infections%20and%20aggravated%20asthma.\">revised its air quality guidelines<\/a> in 2021 to reflect the damage air pollution can have on human health. Up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news\/item\/04-04-2022-billions-of-people-still-breathe-unhealthy-air-new-who-data\">99% of the world\u2019s population<\/a> is at risk of unhealthy air, showing that no amount of air pollution is safe for human beings.<\/p>\n\n<p>But it\u2019s not just an environmental and public health issue &#8211; air quality is also about equity and justice.<\/p>\n\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/india\/en\/publication\/14156\/different-air-under-one-sky-the-inequity-of-air-pollution\/\">report<\/a> published by Greenpeace India revealed that the risks of air pollution are not evenly distributed amongst the population, with some groups of people &#8211; pregnant people, infants, and older adults &#8211; at greater risk of harm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Along with a growing global movement, Greenpeace seeks for the implementation of solutions to address air pollution and to reduce its burden on&nbsp; people\u2019s health, the environment, and the economy. Made up of a tunnel and dome, pedestrians were invited to enter to experience the difference of breathing in the clean, filtered air in the dome from the air on the street outside. Staff and volunteers were at hand to provide more information on air pollution.<\/p>\n\n<p>Greenpeace Colombia calls for the district government to implement policies to reduce polluting emissions. This prompted a roundtable discussion on the issue earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n<p>To help promote the message of clean air to the people, GP Malaysia worked with artists to create a variety of works.
