And the oceans need all of us, everywhere, to push for their protection. The island is located in the Komodo National Park.<div class=\"credit icon-left\"> \u00a9 Paul Hilton \/ Greenpeace<\/div><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>In September 2023, Greenpeace International published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/international\/publication\/62121\/30x30-from-global-ocean-treaty-to-protection-at-sea\/\">30\u00d730: From Global Ocean Treaty to Protection at Sea<\/a> setting out the political process to deliver protection for the global oceans.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Alongside ratification, governments must also start to develop the first ocean sanctuaries proposals.
