\ud83c\uddf2\ud83c\uddfd Mexico – In an urgent call to the Mexican government to heed the cry for help from the Maya Forest, the communities that inhabit it, and the unique biodiversity it shelters, such as the jaguar, Greenpeace Mexico activists displayed a message that was impossible to ignore. From a height of 70 meters, from the Estela de Luz monument, nine activists from the environmental organization unfurled a 27-meter-long banner with the message \u201cThe Maya Forest is crying out. Semarnat, save it!\u201d The climb took about two hours to reach a height where the message could be clearly seen from a distance, symbolising that this call can no longer be ignored.<\/p>\n\n
