Am 25. M\u00e4rz folgten erneut Millionen von Menschen dem weltweiten Aufruf von Fridays for Future und demonstrierten f\u00fcr mehr Klimaschutz. In Luxemburg versammelten sich hunderte von Menschen, ob jung oder alt, und protestierten mit dem Motto #PeopleNotProfit friedlich f\u00fcr eine klimagerechte Finanzindustrie und f\u00fcr einen nachhaltigen Luxemburger Pensionsfonds. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Gemeinsam mit Youth for Climat und weiteren NGOs marschierte Greenpeace in Begleitung der besorgten Zivilgesellschaft von der Place de Clairefontaine in Richtung Avenue de la Porte Neuve, Sitz des Luxemburger Pensionsfonds FDC. Der Fonds de Compensation (FDC) war Hauptziel der Demonstration, um dessen Investitionen in klimasch\u00e4dliche Industrien anzuprangern.<\/p>\n\n

In K\u00fcrze wird der FDC seine Investitionsstrategie f\u00fcr die Jahre 2023-2028 ausarbeiten, eine Gelegenheit, die der Luxemburger Pensionsfonds unbedingt wahrnehmen muss, um sein Verm\u00f6gen – und dabei handelt es sich um die Beitr\u00e4ge der ArbeitnehmerInnen des luxemburgischen Privatsektors – nachhaltig anzulegen und die Finanzierung fossiler Brennstoffindustrien und andererUnternehmen, die den Klimawandel weiterhin anheizen, zu stoppen. Schluss mit Investitionen in die Kohle- und Nuklearindustrie oder in Aktivit\u00e4ten wie arktische Bohrungen oder Fracking! Die Arbeiter:innen im Privatsektor haben ein Recht auf mehr Transparenz und Mitsprache!<\/p>\n\n

Um Klimaneutralit\u00e4t zu erreichen und Greenwashing zu stoppen, muss der FDC ebenso wie der gesamte Luxemburger Finanzsektor endlich Verantwortung \u00fcbernehmen und konsequent handeln. Greenpeace Luxemburg hat aus diesem Anlass gemeinsam mit 9 Expert:innen einen Offenen Brief f\u00fcr einen nachhaltigen Luxemburger Finanzplatz<\/a> an die luxemburgische Regierung und das Parlament verfasst.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n \t\t\t
