Barcelona\/Luxemburg<\/em>, 7. April 2026 \u2013 Die <\/strong>Arctic Sunrise, eines der drei Greenpeace-Schiffe, schlie\u00dft sich <\/em><\/strong>der bevorstehenden \u201eGlobal Sumud\u201c-Flottille an<\/strong>. Gemeinsam mit mehr als hundert Schiffen und tausenden Teilnehmenden, darunter sechs Aktivist:innen aus Luxemburg, wird Greenpeace technische und operative Unterst\u00fctzung auf See leisten. Ziel der Flottille ist es, sich der von Israel verh\u00e4ngten Blockade von Hilfslieferungen nach Gaza direkt entgegenzustellen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Als Reaktion auf einen direkten Aufruf von Pal\u00e4stinenser:innen in Gaza soll die Flottille am 12. April 2026 von Barcelona (Spanien) aus in See stechen, mit Zwischenstopps in Syrakus (Italien) und Ierapetra (Griechenland) auf dem Weg nach Gaza. Bereits am Samstag, den 11. April, ist eine \u00f6ffentliche Solidarit\u00e4tskundgebung geplant.<\/p>\n\n

Ghiwa Nakat, Leiterin von Greenpeace MENA, erkl\u00e4rte: \u201c<\/strong>Die Zerst\u00f6rung in Gaza, die sich inzwischen auch auf den Libanon ausweitet, ist eine besorgniserregende Spirale der Straflosigkeit. Das Greenpeace-Schiff beteiligt sich an der Mission, um sicheren und ungehinderten humanit\u00e4ren Zugang nach Gaza zu fordern und die rechtswidrige Blockade anzugehen. Zugleich ist die Flottille ein Appell an Regierungen weltweit, ihr Schweigen zu beenden und entschlossen zu handeln, um V\u00f6lkerrecht, Menschenw\u00fcrde und Gerechtigkeit zu wahren.<\/em>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Greenpeace hebt seit Jahren<\/a> sowohl die humanit\u00e4re als auch die \u00f6kologische Krise hervor, die durch den Krieg Israels gegen Gaza verursacht wird. Die Organisation fordert einen echten und dauerhaften Waffenstillstand, ein sofortiges Ende der Blockade von Hilfslieferungen, uneingeschr\u00e4nkten humanit\u00e4ren Zugang, ein umfassendes Waffenembargo sowie das Ende der illegalen Besetzung Pal\u00e4stinas. Greenpeace setzt sich f\u00fcr eine Zukunft ein, in der Israel und Pal\u00e4stina friedlich Seite an Seite innerhalb anerkannter Grenzen leben, im Einklang mit dem V\u00f6lkerrecht und den entsprechenden UN-Resolutionen.Die Arctic Sunrise<\/em><\/a> ist seit 1995 Teil der Greenpeace-Flotte und war in zahlreichen globalen Kampagnen von der Antarktis bis zur Arktis im Einsatz.
