In den Niederlanden gab es sie bereits: Die erste erfolgreiche Klimaklage gegen die Regierung. Zehn Familien aus der EU wollen nachziehen und verklagen die EU.\u00a0<\/strong>Am 24. Mai 2018 reichten zehn Familien eine Klage gegen die EU ein. Sie werfen der EU vor, die Klimaziele f\u00fcr 2030 reichen nicht aus, um internationales Recht einzuhalten. Die Klage wurde vom Europ\u00e4ischen Gerichtshof zugelassen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zehn Familien aus\u00a0Portugal, Frankreich, Italien, Griechenland, Deutschland, Rum\u00e4nien, Fiji und Kenia\u00a0klagen die EU an\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/a>, die Klimaziele f\u00fcr 2030, eine Reduzierung des CO2-Aussto\u00dfen von 40% unter dem Niveau von 1990, seien nicht ausreichend und verletzten internationale Rechte. Wie zum Beispiel\u00a0die EU-Charta der Grundrechte, der Vertrag \u00fcber die Arbeitsweise der Europ\u00e4ischen Union, die UN-Klimarahmenvereinbarung und das Pariser Klimaabkommen.<\/p>\n

Die angestrebte Reduzierung der Treibhausgasemissionen reiche nicht aus, um eine gef\u00e4hrliche Ver\u00e4nderung des Klimas abzuwenden und gef\u00e4hrde somit das Menschenrecht auf Leben und Gesundheit. Anstelle der Emissionsreduzierung von 40% sehen die Kl\u00e4ger eine Reduzierung von 50-60% bis 2030 als notwendig an.<\/p>\n

Zeitlicher Ablauf<\/p><\/div>\n

Im Oktober diesen Jahres wurde die erfolgreiche Klimaklage der NGO Urgenda gemeinsam mit 900 B\u00fcrgerinnen und B\u00fcrgern gegen die niederl\u00e4ndische Regierung in zweiter Instanz best\u00e4tigt. Der Ausgang der\u00a0Klimaklage der zehn Familien gegen die EU ist noch offen. Die Verteidigung des Europ\u00e4ischen Parlaments wird seit Oktober 2018 erwartet.<\/p>\n
