As I look back on 2024, I see a year of intense challenges, remarkable progress, and unwavering hope. Extreme weather events with another record-breaking temperature in 2024 served as painful reminders of the urgency to address the climate crisis. The biodiversity crisis deepened, Indigenous communities continued to face threats to their lands and rights, and systemic inequalities placed unimaginable burdens on vulnerable communities\u2014all taking a heavy toll on our environment and future.

But amidst these challenges, there were moments of extraordinary resilience, courage, and kindness. People across the globe stood together, raising their voices, holding governments and corporations accountable, and fighting for a better, sustainable world.

With your steadfast support, Greenpeace Malaysia was able to amplify these voices and take impactful action. Together, we made strides in the fight to end plastic pollution and our rights to clean air, supported Indigenous communities in defending their rights, and campaigned tirelessly for systemic changes to protect our planet.

These victories are yours, proving that progress is possible when we stand united. Your support also allows Greenpeace to remain fiercely independent\u2014free from government and corporate funding\u2014so we can speak truth to power and act boldly for the planet.

On a personal note, one of my highlights of 2024 was organising more on-ground activities with our supporters such as the Klang River Clean-up<\/a> and Trees for Tomorrow<\/em>.<\/a> Seeing people take time out of their weekends to come together to create a tangible environmental impact is what gives me hope and motivation for a greener future.
