Together with a team of expert scientists we explored the life and wonders of the&nbsp;<strong>Arctic deep<\/strong>&nbsp;sea \u2013 one of Earth\u2019s least known wildernesses, and we were astonished by what we found!<br><br>Our many hours of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLClXnL5aHwxUCra1ZWoU4ONCtOIL9-au6&amp;si=AfAMelUma8hTTAXz\">divestreams<\/a>&nbsp;from the Arctic seabed have reached hundreds of thousands of viewers. Together with the scientists we have had&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YWvWAB6rtMA&amp;list=PLClXnL5aHwxUCra1ZWoU4ONCtOIL9-au6&amp;index=16&amp;t=7s\">school classes calling<\/a>&nbsp;in to the research ship asking questions to the scientists about the deep sea, and we have filmed over 100 hours of high-resolution video of these extraordinary ecosystems that will now be shared with the world.<br><br>The scientists onboard have had a particular focus on vulnerable and undescribed species in the area \u2013 and they will analyse all material and samples in detail after the expedition, but they already think that they have discovered several potential new species to science.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/static\/planet4-international-stateless\/2026\/06\/0bc7d3f9-gp0su8xz9.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Paco C\u00e1rdenas, from Uppsala University, fixing subsamples of sponges with RNAlater, formol, Gluteraldeyde or ethanol. \n\nGreenpeace will gather scientific evidence of the diversity, distribution and connectivity of fauna in Arctic deep-sea ecosystems in the mining area -
